Instant Pot Ga Roti
I always make this Chicken for dinner. This is one of my favorite. It is very tasty. I can eat 2 leg quarter with rice. I usually double my recipe when I make this chicken. My husband loves this chicken aside from the other chicken that I make all the time. This is my Instant Pot Version. I also have the Airfryer version.
Instant Pot Ga Roti

Ingredients:
For marinade:
- 2 chicken leg quarter
- 1 tsp five spice
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 3 tbsp. Maggi seasoning or soy sauce
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp. oil
- ½ cup coconut water
- ¼ c Vegetable oil
- Carrots
- Tomatoes
- cucumber
- In a small bowl, combine all the marinade ingredients and mix until well blended.
- Transfer chicken into a large ziploc bag. Pour the marinade over the chicken and toss to evenly coat the chicken. Marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight in the refrigerator.
- Set Instant pot to Sauté Mode. When pot is hot, add vegetable oil then add chicken leg quarter with skin side down first. Brown the chicken for 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Add the remaining marinade sauce and ½ cup coconut water. Turn off Sauté Mode.
- Close lid. Set Instant Pot on Manual Mode, High Pressure for 10 minutes, 15 mins NPR.
- Once cook time is done, release the remaining pressure. Open lid, set the Instant Pot to Sauté mode to thicken the sauce. Turn the chicken at least twice to coat with sauce.
- Serve with hot steamed rice, tomato slices, carrots and cucumber. Garnish with green onion oil.
- Enjoy.
