I've been making this in my Air fryer frequently for a year since I got my air fryer. The 1st time I made this recipe was 7 years ago during my son's 1st birthday. Airfryer Shrimp Tempura

Image
I tried different way of cooking shrimp tempura in the Air fryer. I use the wet tempura mix before with panko as a final coating but the coating become very sticky. I also tried double dip with egg and panko. It's good but the coating is too thick. For double dip, I usually cook it for 12 minutes. For single dip I tried 12 minutes but the shrimp is a little bit dry. I also tried 9 minutes which is good, my last trial was 8 minutes at the same temperature. The shrimp is moist and soft and that's the way I like. I keep repeating the same temperature and time and I am satisfied with 8 minutes on single dip. I don't preheat my GoWise air fryer by I preheat my BSOA. This is a thumbs up at home especially for my picky eaters. For Tempura mix and panko breadcrumbs, I use the store brand from Assi Plaza. Air fryer Shrimp Tempura Author: Neliza Ly Things used: Parchment paper Air fryer Ingredients: 1 lb. shrimp, tail on 1 cup panko bread crumbs ½ cup tempura m...

Air fryer Rellenong Bangus or stuffed milk fish

Image
This is one of my favorite food to make since I was a kid. When I was a young, we have a very large fish pond in the Philippines. Everytime we harvest milkfish, we usually send it to the fishing port, ship it to Manila and Cebu and save a lot for us and for our relatives. Rellenong bangus or stuffed milk fish is one of my favorite food to make. It is a lot of work but it is yummy. My mom usually like it with pineapple, chorizo or chinese sausage and slices of hard boiled eggs. I don't add it on mine because it's difficult for me to find chorizo in my area. Pineapple is okay I noticed it easily spoil the food if you keep it for a while. We also rub the skin with flour, coat the head opening with cornstarch and deep fried. The purpose of flour is to prevent splattering of oil and to make the skin crispy. Since I'm doing it on the air fryer, I need to cut the head and portion of the skin because it doesn't fit inside the air fryer basket and I don't rub it with flo...

Instant Pot Chop Suey or Mixed Vegetables with Air fryer Crispy Noodle

Image
This is one of my favorite things to make in the stove before and then I converted it to Instant Pot using a sauté mode only because vegetables cook very quick. I also use the air fryer in order to use less oil. I don't check the time before on how long I cook the food. I only do visual check and taste test. Since I'm posting my recipes, I ended up using a timer on how long to cook the vegetable. Making a food blog is a little bit time consuming because I need to measure things and take step by step pictures. If I'm in a hurry, I only take pictures of the ingredients and the output and then redo the pictures whenever I cook again. Instant Pot Chop Suey or Mixed Vegetables with Air fryer Crispy Noodle Author: Neliza Ly Ingredients: 500 grams shrimp, peeled 20 grams ginger, minced 3 cloves garlic, minced 1 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 tbsp. cornstarch --- 1  tbsp. maggi seasoning or soy sauce 2  ½ tbsp. oyster sauce (I use Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand) 1 t...
