Airfryer Filipino Style Tortang Talong (Eggplant Omelet) Author: Neliza Ly Ingredients 3 regular-sized Chinese eggplants 3 XL eggs ¼ cup whole milk ½ tsp. salt ½ tsp. ground black pepper ½ tsp. garlic powder ½ tsp. soy sauce 1 tsp. unsalted butter, melted Instructions Prepare the egg mixture: In a bowl, add the eggs, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, soy sauce, melted butter, and milk. Whisk until all ingredients are fully combined, then set aside. Cook the eggplants: Poke holes all over the eggplants using a fork. Place them inside the Breville Smart Oven Air and broil on High for 20 minutes (turning halfway through until the skin is charred) or Air Fry for 25 minutes . Peel and mash: Let the eggplants cool for 2 minutes. Peel off the skin and gently mash the eggplants with a fork to flatten them. Crispy Air-Fried Tofu (Kid-Approved!) I’m usually not a fan of tofu—especially in soups or stir-fries—but crispy air-fried tofu is a total game-changer. Even my kids, who normally refuse to eat tofu, said these tasted just like chicken nuggets (and I never told them any different!). It’s a definite thumbs-up at our house. If you prefer a delicious flan that isn’t overly sweet, this recipe is for you! Unlike traditional versions made with condensed milk, this egg-custard flan delivers a silky-smooth texture and a perfectly balanced caramel flavor. It is my all-time favorite flan to make in the Instant Pot! Author: Neliza Ly Ingredients Flan: 12 oz. whole milk ½ cup (100 grams) granulated sugar 3 XL eggs 1 tsp. vanilla extract Caramel: ¾ cup (152 grams) granulated sugar 4 tbsp. water (for cooking) 2 tbsp. water (to stop cooking) Instructions Make the Caramel: Place ¾ cup sugar and 4 tbsp. water into a pot. Cook on medium to high heat until golden brown (it takes about 10 minutes to achieve the desired color). Once golden brown, carefully add 2 tbsp. of water and stir the pot until the bubbling stops.
