Instant Pot Squid Adobo
I grow up with this squid adobo or adobo nga lukos. We usually cook this in the stove back home. I tried this several times (more than 20 times) using the Instant Pot and never went back cooking in the stove after that.
Instant Pot Squid Adobo

Ingredients:
- ¼ cup Datu Puti Sugar Cane Vinegar
- 2 tbsp. maggi seasoning or soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. white sugar
- 1 tsp. ground pepper
- 4 bay leaves
- 2 garlic, peeled and crushed
- 1 shallot, sliced
- 15 pieces (650 grams) fresh squid, cleaned
- Place all the ingredients into a pot, mix well and close the lid.
- Set the Instant Pot on Manual Mode, High Pressure for 7 minutes, Quick Release.
- Open the lid carefully.
- Serve with rice.
- Enjoy.
For squid, I only use fresh squid from Asian Market sold per pound. I never tried using squid from a package.
