Air fryer Rellenong Bangus or stuffed milk fish

Image
This is one of my favorite food to make since I was a kid. When I was a young, we have a very large fish pond in the Philippines. Everytime we harvest milkfish, we usually send it to the fishing port, ship it to Manila and Cebu and save a lot for us and for our relatives. Rellenong bangus or stuffed milk fish is one of my favorite food to make. It is a lot of work but it is yummy. My mom usually like it with pineapple, chorizo or chinese sausage and slices of hard boiled eggs. I don't add it on mine because it's difficult for me to find chorizo in my area. Pineapple is okay I noticed it easily spoil the food if you keep it for a while. We also rub the skin with flour, coat the head opening with cornstarch and deep fried. The purpose of flour is to prevent splattering of oil and to make the skin crispy. Since I'm doing it on the air fryer, I need to cut the head and portion of the skin because it doesn't fit inside the air fryer basket and I don't rub it with flo...

Instant Pot Chop Suey or Mixed Vegetables with Air fryer Crispy Noodle

Image
This is one of my favorite things to make in the stove before and then I converted it to Instant Pot using a sauté mode only because vegetables cook very quick. I also use the air fryer in order to use less oil. I don't check the time before on how long I cook the food. I only do visual check and taste test. Since I'm posting my recipes, I ended up using a timer on how long to cook the vegetable. Making a food blog is a little bit time consuming because I need to measure things and take step by step pictures. If I'm in a hurry, I only take pictures of the ingredients and the output and then redo the pictures whenever I cook again. Instant Pot Chop Suey or Mixed Vegetables with Air fryer Crispy Noodle Author: Neliza Ly Ingredients: 500 grams shrimp, peeled 20 grams ginger, minced 3 cloves garlic, minced 1 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 tbsp. cornstarch --- 1  tbsp. maggi seasoning or soy sauce 2  ½ tbsp. oyster sauce (I use Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand) 1 t...

Air fryer Butternut Squash Cake (Cinnamon Mud Cake)

Image
My kids doesn't want to eat the squash by itself. At first, I was thinking to make a an Instant pot butternut squash candy like the one I ate in the Philippines when I was a kid but it was a thumbs down before after they saw the mashed squash. They don't want to touch it. I've been thinking to make something for butternut squash for the past few days because my kids doesn't want to eat squash. I was also thinking to use either a brown sugar or white sugar but ended up using a brown sugar as my kids suggested. I decided to make a cake and told them, it's a surprise cake but they can name it whatever they like after they eat it. It's a thumbs up. My kids like it. My youngest one told me it's a cinnamon sweet cake while my oldest one told me it's a mud cake because of it's brown color. So, I'm going to call this recipe, Cinnamon Mud Cake. :) This is my 2nd time making the cake using a bundt pan. I also made a muffin using this recipe.  If y...
