Instant Pot Chicken Soup or Nilagang Manok
One of my kids favorite soup. My kids request this soup every week. My kids love to eat our homegrown bokchoy.
Instant Pot Chicken Soup or Nilagang Manok

Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 6 pieces Chicken thighs or Chicken legs
- 6 cups water
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 regular onion, diced
- 3 thumbs ginger, sliced
- 1 chicken Knorr bouillon
- 2 tbsp. fish sauce (I use three crabs brand)
- ½ tsp. black pepper
- 2 potatoes, peeled and cut into quarter or 1 small green papaya
- bokchoy or pepper leaves
- Set the Instant Pot on sauté mode. Sauté garlic, onion and ginger for 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add chicken and sauté for a few minutes.
- Add water, chicken knorr, fish sauce, black pepper into the Instant Pot.
- Set the Instant Pot on Manual Mode, High Pressure for 8 minutes, 15 minutes NPR.
- Open the lid. Set the Instant Pot on sauté mode. Add potato. Simmer until tender, approximately 6 minutes.
- Add bokchoy or pepper leaves and cook for 2 minutes.
- Season more salt or fish sauce to your liking.
- Enjoy.
