Instant Pot Baby Back Ribs
I make 2 rack of Baby Back Ribs every week per kid’s request. This is one of their favorite way of cooking ribs.
Instant Pot Baby Back Ribs

Ingredients:
- 1 rack baby back ribs, cut into pieces
- 2 oz. Maggi seasoning
- 1 tbsp. (12 grams) vinegar
- 2 tbsp. (24 grams) annatto oil
- 3 cloves (11 grams) garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp. (15 grams) fresh ginger, grated
- 2 oz. water
- In a pot, heat ½ cup vegetable oil. Add 1 tbsp. annatto seeds. Turn off and remove the pot from heat. Leave annatto seeds for 10 minutes then discard seeds. You have annatto oil.
- Parboil ribs for 10 minutes to remove impurities. Rinse with cold running water.
- Season the ribs with Maggi seasoning, vinegar, annatto oil, garlic and ginger. Mix well and set aside for 30 minutes.
- Place the ribs into the Instant pot. Add 2 oz. water.
- Set the Instant Pot on Manual mode, High Pressure for 15 minutes, 10 minutes NPR.
- Garnish with green onions.
- Serve with hot steamed rice.
