Instant Pot Mashed Potatoes

Equipment:
Ingredients:
  • 8 medium russet potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 4 cups water to cover potatoes
  • 2 tsp Salt, divided
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • ¼ tsp Black pepper
  • ½ tsp Garlic powder
  • ½ cup Warm milk
Instructions:
  • Place potatoes into the Instant Pot. Add 4 cups of water and 1 tsp salt.
  • Set the Instant Pot on Manual Mode, High Pressure for 8 minutes, Quick Release.
  • Drain and return potatoes into the Instant Pot.
  • Add the remaining 1 tsp salt, unsalted butter, pepper, garlic powder, and warm milk. Mash until smooth and creamy.
  • Serve with parsley if desired.
