Instant Pot and Air fry Ribs with ginger
I've been busy for the past months. I apologize for not posting new recipes. This recipe is one of our favorites at home. I always make this recipe at least every 1 to 2 weeks. 1 rack of ribs is very cheap and you only need a few ingredients. The marinade is similar to my tofu recipe. I hope you will like it and enjoy the food like us
Instant Pot and Air fry Ribs with ginger
Author: Neliza Ly
Equipment:
Ingredients:
1 rack baby back ribs, cl
eaned 3 oz. Maggi seasoning
1 tbsp. vinegar [cane vinegar (Datu Puti) or white vinegar]
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic, grated
1 tbsp. (12 grams) ginger, grated
2 tbsp. cornstarch + 2 tbsp. water
Instructions:
Mix Maggi seasoning, vinegar, vegetable oil, garlic, and ginger. Pour over the ribs and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Place marinade and ½ cup water into the Instant Pot, then place the trivet and ribs inside. Set the Instant Pot on Manual mode, High Pressure for 18 minutes, followed by a 15-minute natural pressure release (NPR).
Carefully remove the ribs from the Instant Pot.
Add the cornstarch mixture to the liquid. Set the Instant Pot to Sauté mode. Mix and let it simmer until the sauce is thick enough for basting.
Baste ribs with sauce.
Line the air fryer basket with foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup. Place the ribs in the air fryer and air fry at 400°F for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Enjoy with hot rice!
Note:
Basting is optional. You can skip it if you want. The flavor is good either way—I tried skipping the basting several times and it still tasted good with lots of flavor.
